Fraud case involving Las Vegas Quon Bruce Christensen Law Firm grabs headlines nationwide

At the center of a major scheme to defraud Home Owner Associations (HOA) in construction defect cases were two Quon Bruce Christensen Law Firm employees, Nancy Quon and Jason Bruce.

The duo’s fraudulent actions consisted of fixing elections for the HOA board by having established board members removed from their positions and replaced by straw men that were required to abuse their power and select Quon Bruce Christensen as the law firm to represent the HOA on cases.

Bruce and Quon were not alone in their actions as the scandal involved numerous other accomplices that included lawyers, real estate agents, notaries and other individuals, all of which were recruited by Bruce.

After an FBI investigation unveiled this information and a raid by the FBI, the case of fraud was given to three federal grand juries. Through the use of trial papers and secret recordings, the investigation unveiled that voters were bribed and aided in tens of millions of dollars of legal work having been illegally directed to Quon Bruce Christensen.

It seemed that Quon and Bruce were fully aware of their wrongdoings as Quon was found dead due to what is believed to have been suicide and Bruce fled from the office’s location in Las Vegas to central Florida.

A total of 42 defendants either plead guilty or were convicted at trial in what is believed to be the largest public corruption case in southern Nevada’s history.
